Our Lord and Savior Quetzalcoatl

Our Lord and Savior Quetzalcoatl

Like Christ, Quetzalcoatl is born of a virgin, the goddess Coatlique, and is a great teacher of civilization. Also like Jesus, Quetzalcoatl strikes down the Prince of Darkness and Evil (Tezcatlipoca), who attempts to deceive mankind. The Aztec godman descends into the underworld, where he "gathers the bones of the human beings of the previous epochs," while, in the apocryphal text [The Gospel of Nicodemus], Christ resurrects several kings and prophets of previous epochs out of the underworld. Quetzalcoatl's blood is used to convey life to the humans whose bones he saved, while Christ's blood delivers eternal life and saves humans from death.

Happy SUNday! "The cult of Sol Invictus, the 'Invincible Sun,' became dominant in Rome and in other parts of the empire during the early part of the second century A.D. And evidence abounds that Roman sun cults influenced Christian thought and liturgy." Is Jesus obsolete?

Is Jesus obsolete?

There has been much debate of late about whether the biblical Adam and Eve were "real people" or myths. A number of Christian scientists, for example, have conceded that DNA studies cast serious doubt on the biblical account of Adam and Eve, indicating that the story is indeed mythical. Obviously, most nonbelievers would tend to agree with that honest and logical assessment.

What does the New Testament say about women?

What does the New Testament say about women?

It is good for a man not to touch a woman, so that he is not tempted to "immorality" and does not "defile" himself. Men are the "heads" of their wives and the "glory of God," whereas the woman is merely the "glory of man." Man was not created from woman, but woman from man. Women must be submissive in everything and subject to their husbands, who, again, are their "heads." Women should not speak in church but must remain subordinate and learn in submissiveness. No woman can teach or have authority over men. Girls and women must be "trained" to love and to be sensible, chaste, domestic and submissive to their husbands.

What does the Koran say about women?

What does the Koran say about women?

Menstruating women are unclean, and men must stay away from them. Women are men's "fields," and men can have sex with them whenever they want. Men are superior to women and have authority over them, while women must obey men or risk being beaten. A woman is worth one-half of a man, and men are above women. Muslim men may marry up to four wives, including prepubescent girls, and can own sex slaves. Muslims are not allowed to marry non-Muslims, unless the latter convert to Islam. Women must cover themselves and be seen only by relatives, eunuchs, slaves and children who have not yet had sex with women.

Adam and Eve a myth?

Adam and Eve a myth?

Christian scholars are being forced to reconsider the account of Adam and Eve in the Bible, largely because of genetic studies. If Adam is mythical, then the Bible is incorrect, not "inerrant." Moreover, the New Testament traces Jesus's family lineage to the (fictional) Adam. (Lk 3:38) Based on this factor and many others, as I demonstrate in many books and articles, may we not also conclude, therefore, that Jesus is likewise fictional?

It's an ancient story - the greatest story ever sold.

Garden of Eden originally a Pygmy myth?

In the Pygmy origins legend, we find a sky-god father-figure; a man created out of earth; a paradisaical "garden" or, appropriately, forest; a forbidden tree/fruit; and a woman blamed for the downfall of mankind, for which she is punished by pain in childbirth--motifs all found in the Bible.

Huwaini said that infidel captives, the "spoils of war," are to be distributed among the Muslim combatants (i.e., jihadists) and taken to "the slave market, where slave-girls and concubines are sold." He referred to these latter by their dehumanizing name in the Koran, ma malakat aymanukum—"what your right hands possess"—in this context, sex-slaves: "You go to the market and buy her, and she becomes like your legal mate—though without a contract, a guardian, or any of that stuff—and this is agreed upon by the ulema."

In defense of America

I had to say something about this brouhaha over the reported death of Osama bin Laden, which includes loud crying about "Americans celebrating the murder of a fellow human being." Frankly, I find it reprehensible that anyone would weep and wail over the death of a mass-murdering, misogynistic child abuser. It seems much of the world has completely lost its morality. Moreover, many of the children shrieking about this subject have not been alive long enough to suffer themselves, apparently, at the hands of such abusers, and they appear to have little sympathy for the victims.

Spain apologizes for killing of Jews

So long as the fallacious charge of "Christ-killers" can be tossed about, Jews will remain in danger. Since the New Testament character "Jesus Christ" is demonstrably a mythical figure and the gospel story does not represent "history" in which the gentle Son of God was hideously murdered by snarling Jews, the latter can be absolved of such unseemly charges. In consideration of all the trauma this fraud has caused, one would think Jews would readily embrace this real "good news" of Jesus mythicism.

How the U.S. should deal with the Muslim Brotherhood

How the U.S. should deal with the Muslim Brotherhood

The Muslim Brotherhood does not seem to be as violent as al-Qaeda. However, it is hard to completely separate them from the phenomenon of Radical Islam. The word they use for their slogan is 'Wa-aidou' which is Arabic for 'prepare.' This is taken from verse 8:60 of the Quran which states, 'Prepare (Wa-aidou) against them (the Un-believers) to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know.' Therefore, the use of 'Wa-aidou' underneath the two swords in the MB flag indicates this is much more complex word than many can imagine.

Most of us, thankfully, possess more benevolence than malice, but that development is really the end product of empathy, which does indeed reveal our essential oneness. In this quest, we must critique and reform ideologies that cause division, including and especially organized, monotheistic and intolerant religions.

Archaeologist: American churches astronomically aligned

In this news item appear yet more examples of this age-old tradition, as found within Christianity in particular. The fact that winter-solstice alignments, for instance, are discovered at Christian sites reflects that their architects and builders were well aware of the significance of that date, originally the "birth" of the year's new sun but observed for over 1,700 years as "Christmas" or the purported birth of Jesus Christ. It is clear that in marking this date and celebrating this holiday, Christians were merely latching onto a very ancient, astrotheological practice shared by numerous cultures worldwide.

Ancient Greek 'Altar of the 12 Gods' endangered by Athens railway

An important ancient Greek archaeological site from the sixth century BCE, the Altar of the 12 Gods in the Agora at Athens, is currently endangered by the activity of a local railway company, the ISAP. One of the oldest ruins in the city, the altar honored the 12 Olympian gods: Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Hestia, Apollo, Artemis, Hephaestus, Athena, Ares, Aphrodite and Hermes. Used as a point from which to measure distances in the city, the site is considered the very center or heart of Athens itself.

Jewish groups push 'multiculturalism'

Jewish groups push 'multiculturalism'

One must wonder why so many Jewish organizations have been pushing for "multiculturalism" in Europe and elsewhere, especially since the upswing of "anti-Semitism" in Europe, for one, is significantly traceable to the Muslim population there?

Jerusalem next!

Jerusalem next!

I know I'll get in trouble for this one, but I can't help it. Lessee: Barack Obama makes a speech in Cairo full of erroneous claims about Islam's great contributions to the world, appoints Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood members to his cabinet and supports the "popular uprising" of Egypt. Now the "free" Egyptian people are calling for the destruction of Israel and the seizure of Jerusalem. So...get it?

The Zeitgeist Movement Exposed!

The Zeitgeist Movement Exposed!

This well-done video is a hilarious lampooning of the lies and smears against the Zeitgeist Movement. The newbie brilliantly and accurately represents the Zeitgeist Movement in its most idealistic perspective, while the TZM cultist reflects the erroneous views of Christian fundies and other detractors. A perfect rebuttal to the sinister silliness being spread about TZM and the Venus Project.

Koyaanisqatsi: 'A Crazy Way of Living'

Koyaanisqatsi: 'A Crazy Way of Living'

The scenes at the beginning of the film showing slow-changing geological features thousands to hundreds of millions of years old provide striking counterpoints to the frenzied, insect-like human activity further on. Overall, "Koyaanisqatsi" is an outstanding and highly recommended work of art by director Godfrey Reggio and producer Francis Ford Coppola, with the haunting music of Philip Glass.

Curbing Islamic radicalization in post-Mubarak Egypt

Ex-radical Muslim Dr. Tawfik Hamid's latest article.

Curbing Islamic radicalization in post-Mubarak Egypt

The revolution in Egypt can take one of two more likely directions. On one hand, the values of liberty and freedom may prevail and on the other hand, Islamic radicals may hijack the revolution and create a theocratic state. The future of the country and the Middle East largely depend on which of these case scenarios will succeed.

Dawkins: Islam is 'one of the great evils of the world'

Dawkins: Islam is 'one of the great evils of the world'

Richard Dawkins says it outright. One wonders why so few other atheists are speaking out. 'I'm reasonably optimistic in America and Europe. I'm pessimistic about the Islamic world. I regard Islam as one of the great evils in the world, and I fear that we have a very difficult struggle there.'

Brad Pitt's juiciest role

Brad Pitt's juiciest role

As there are musical performances that can bring one to tears, so there are acting performances that make one sit up and take notice. Kilmer's is one such in my opinion, and Brad Pitt's Greek anti-hero Achilles in "Troy" is another. Beside the fact that Pitt presents his most deliciously rippling physique yet, in this film he has some truly luscious lines, such as...

Dubai and its slavery sink into the sea

Dubai and its slavery sink into the sea

What a shame! Not. Dubai was largely built on the backs of some 300,000 laborers who are basically SLAVES, and its fundamentalist Islamic governance fosters serious human rights abuses.

Islam's 'First True Reformation' begins

Islam's 'First True Reformation' begins

A historic and potentially momentous event occurred on January 24, 2011 impacting the teachings and understanding of Islam. To put that event in perspective, we have seen over the last few decades problems related to Islamism, including terrorism, suicide bombings, but also suppression of values of human rights in several Islamic societies.

Fitness guru Jack LaLanne dies at 96

Fitness guru Jack LaLanne dies at 96

I had been thinking about Jack LaLanne for some time now, so I am very sad to hear this news of his passing at the age of 96. Most people over the age of 40 or so in the U.S. have probably heard of Jack LaLanne. Those of us even older practically grew up with him, at least in the media, although I personally was too young to have watched his TV show, which was highly popular in the 1950s.

Mindblowing truth from an Arab Muslim official

Mindblowing truth from an Arab Muslim official

These videos have been around a while, but wow! Give this guy a Nobel prize - and a bulletproof vest! Good for him for having the wisdom and courage to tell the truth. Perhaps there is hope for this world after all... Except that Dr. Ibrahim Al-Buleihi is now a former official in Saudi Arabia, having retired.

Can Islamic/sharia law be reformed?

Can Islamic/sharia law be reformed?

Here is an important discussion involving two ex-extremist Muslim reformers, one still Muslim, Dr. Tawfik Hamid, and the other a Christian convert, Walid Shoebat, along with current "radical" (devout) Islamic supremacist Anjem Choudary, who once again reveals the plot for global Islamic domination and the subjugation of non-Muslims.

Virgin Mother Goddesses of Antiquity | A Review by D.M. Murdock | Marguerite Rigoglioso

Virgin Mother Goddesses of Antiquity | A Review by D.M. Murdock

Whatever one takes away from "Virgin Mother Goddesses of Antiquity" by Dr. Marguerite Rigoglioso, the book certainly is a tour de force. Phrases like "parthenogenetic creator deity" and "virgin creatrix" readily convey the concept of a virgin mother from remotest times, like a splash of cold water waking up our long dormant female spiritual traditions. There can be no doubt that the virgin-mother concept did not originate with Christianity and that the idea of the Virgin Mary as a historical personage appears unsupportable from this and much more evidence.

Aliens coming in 2012?

Aliens coming in 2012?

Now that it's the New Year of 2011, time to start bringing up 2012, which is widely touted as a year that will bring about great changes. The nature of those changes is debatable, as some claim 2012 will signal the "end of the world," while Maya elders say that's not what it means at all. And here comes my friend Dr. Carol Rosin to discuss how the powers that be will allegedly be springing an "alien" trap on the world next year. Carol's successfully predicted a number of previous events based on her insider experiences with government officials globally. Fascinating stuff, indeed!

Muslim: Coptic Christian attack a 'failure to accept the other'

Muslim: Coptic Christian attack a 'failure to accept the other'

In the end analysis, it is fair to say that the attackers - while targeting Christians - had a bigger mission in mind which is to ignite a civil war and destabilize the secular regime in Egypt to allow radical Islamists to rule the country. The terrorists simply tried to 'get more than one bird with the same stone.'
